Welcome to Calne Alpha ASC

Welcome to the Calne Alpha website. We are a small friendly club, re-established in 2008 following the reopening of Calne Leisure Centre, and run entirely by volunteers.

We are proud to have a highly qualified and experienced coaching team delivering programmes which include Academy Swimming, Performance Pathway Swimming, Masters Swimming and Artistic Swimming.

Speed Swimming

We work alongside the Leisure Centre's Learn to Swim programme and welcome swimmers who are confident in the water and have reached Stage 7 of the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework to come and try out for the club.

Our main sessions are held at Calne Leisure Centre on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings. Full details of our session times can be found on the Session Times page.

To request a Speed Swimming trial please visit our Membership page.

Artistic Swimming

In addition to our Speed Swimming programme, we have one of the South West's most successful Artistic Swimming teams and have recently seen one of our athletes represent England through the England Talent Programme.

To request an Artistic Swimming trial please email [email protected].

Volunteers, Welfare and Safeguarding

All of our volunteers, many of them parents and older swimmers, are registered Swim England members and hold the appropriate DBS checks, safeguarding training and coaching qualifications required for their roles.

For any welfare or safeguarding concerns, please contact one of our Welfare Officers via the Welfare page.
