Membership fees vary between the Calne Alpha Squads. Details of the different squads can be found on the Training Squads page.

Annual Membership Fees for 2026:

• Compete - £66.85 per year
• Train        - £39.35 per year

The annual membership fee comprises the Swim England registration fee (which covers National, Regional and County elements) and a Club element of £18.00. This annual membership fee should be paid by standing order or bank transfer by 31 January.

Monthly Squad Fees 2026:

• Membership Fee is due once per year in February/March or on joining the Club

   Category 1 = £36.25 (all new starters, start at this level) includes SE Training Fee

  Category 2 = £61.45  (Grade 3 and above ) includes SE Compete Fee

   Club Membership without SE Fee = £35 (for dual registered swimmers)

   Swim Fees are paid monthly by standing order, please.

  1 swim   per week = £20.00 per month

  2 swims per week = £39.00 per month

  Additional swims may arranged in blocks of 10 weeks payments notified as required.

As the club is run entirely by volunteers, the club takes a break during the summer period from the end of July to the beginning of September. Nevertheless, for ease of fee payments, squad fees are calculated on an annual basis and then averaged over 12 months period to give 12 equal payments. These squad fees are to be paid monthly by standing order. You will be informed of the bank details and how much to pay once you start to swim. The first swimming session is a free trial.
